Meggie Crnic, PhD is a historian of medicine and public health, and an environmental health advocate. She has published in leading journals, including AJPH, and her forthcoming book explores how ideas about bodies, health, and therapeutics have shaped the landscapes where Americans live, work, and play. She is currently collaborating on a research project with Dominic Sisti on the ethics of architecture that analyzes how the design of mental health institutions has the potential to enhance or limit patient autonomy and well-being.
